hmm, have to say i was really looking forward to this release more than any for years. bit concernd about the talk of maps been identical to bf2.

games with vehicles in Im not too happy with because they can take the fun out of a playing that game

BFBC only had APC and helis in which wasn't to bad
but BF2 had combat helis which were over powered also planes & tanks which were hard to kill

Have to agree with you Its Me, i have never really been a great lover of battlefield games as they are ruined by over powered vehicles which unbalance the gameplay.

Now give me a game a map the size they are claiming with just infantry, jeeps and buggies that would be more fun as they would be used just to transport infantry to places but wouldnt unbalance the gameplay.

I am with the 2 chris's on this 1, not a lover of BF2 or BFBC.
I only got it as that is the game that was on the server and I enjoy playing on the servers we have for the fun and messing.

I have noticed that the COD serise of games attract more players to our servers and its more fun.
I must admit that the map size is limited but its much more fun than being obliterated by heli's and tanks all the time. Ya run for miles to get a good spot and bang tank gets ya.

I think that each time that they release a COD game that all the maps are backwards or forwards compatible.

Im getting fed up spending cash on crap games to have them sit on a shelf after only a few hours play.
I know the replys dont buy them but like I said I get them to come onto the servers and enjoy the fun us tins have.

My 2 cents,

hated ALL the Bf games until bfbc, Loved that ( Hated any vehicles and only realy enjoyed playing that 4 v 4 sheiz... )

If this has a mode with no vehicles that tins wana play ill get it, If not,,,

I have loved the BF games since BF1942.

You have to think diffferently when playing the BF games, squad/team support is a must and the fun is choosing how you want to play (infantry, jeep, tank aircraft, boat).

I do agree though that BF2 didn't quite get the balance right - Attack helicopters were a real pain to bring down and the jet fighters were even worse (mostly because infantry didn't have any AA weapons and the static AA weapons were too slow and too easy to target) and even the tanks were more powerful than in BF1942 and BFV.

DICE acknowledged this by introducing the Infantry only mode for BF2 which did work very well.
Sadly the same wasn't true for BC2 because it just made you more of a target for snipers.

I hope BF3 learns from the mistakes of BF2 and doesn't make these vehicles too powerful, but it will still be a fantastic game, even if it doesn't attract the sheer numbers that CoD does.
