Sadly my opinion of anyone that purchases iphone / ipod Ipad or for that matter anything that is made by apple is seriously reduced to ( What a nob! )

You are quite right Soup and normally I would agree with you 100%+.

My reasons are simple, I hate those W**K netbook things with a passion, I spend a lot of time overseas and travelling in my job, so video conference calls home are good (I will not use my company kit for personal purposes), I have put 20 films on it to watch on long short haul flights where there are no seat TV's, and I'll use it for simple web and mail at a readable size that doesn't need me to use magnifying glasses!!!!

Me, I have no iPhone, or any other iThingy apart from this new iThingy.... My misses uses hers for work and to be honest PC's can't touch MAC for design stuff, I've tried to move her over but it just isn't possible ATM...

So, it was either an iPad 2, or some Android w**k fest tablet, I hate Android more than I hate Apple's offering, so the choice was simple the devil or the deep blue sea...!!! The devil has bigger balls, lots me stuff and once jail-broken, I can run a whole pile of security tools on it!!!!!!

Android is the way forward, And the New Samsung Galaxy Tab 10 is the way forward,

It does evreything any iapd can and more and it dosent trace your evrey move, location and porn site and send it back to a twat in an office who wants to sell U a penis extension!

But, I say lets leave this here, As you will struggle to find a bigger apple hater than me dude, and I have reached a point now that I bore myslef banging on about it,

He say's, Look what WE have got, and they both produce a brand new Apple slimline notepad of some description, brand new and Im gusessing cost a fortune, As I look at them they are both either checking emails or texts on an Iphone or taking a photo of said notepad with said iphone, Nice I say ( Not meaning a word of it and wanting to smash them! ) Then I turn to the inlaw and say, " You like it?" He says " yer its great Apple are the best!" cool I say, Then I turn to brother in law, ( Who I know plays online shootys like us! ) and say "Can u play black ops on this? ) he says "dunno yet Iv not installed it" so I say, "Do you need a Mac version of BO or do they even make one?" He says " Check this out! " and turns on his new shiny APPLE NOTEBOOK, I could have fell of my chair when I looked at the screen and watched the thing boot into WINOWS VISTA!!! and he says with pride, See I can do evreything you can on your laptop cus iv put windows on it instead" and the father in law then beems with glee as he spins his round and parps " Me too" I almost shit a brick!


The Irony in this and the ignorance of them is just typical of almost all Apple owners yet due to the way this world works and the peer presure of having a brand name to be down with the kids is something Im looking forward to teaching my kids from an early age to say "go Fu*k yourself" Ill buy and wear and eat what I like and if you dont like it you can suck my balls!

i7 for my PC's, but I'm using Debian Linux on my phone, oh Android is Linux and bugger me, so is MAC OS....!

At least no one is running Winblows on their phone, or heavens forbid, using a stealth tracking implementation!

All I know is that one thing that the Android community complain about is the control Apple has over the app store which a jailbreak easily sorts out.

The LACK of control on Android app stores is one of the reasons they are not doing as well as Apple (yet) as there are far too many poorly designed and written apps, as well as far too many apps that do the same thing.

I'd like to see an android platform phone with a well maintained and quality controlled app store, as well as an apple device that allows, encourages and supports open-ness to a certain degree (such as an area of the app store that allows you to try unauthorized/rejected apps) and a factory provided jailbreak setting.

Quantity is not quality though. There will always be more apps available on Android as there is no quality control and technically, every app uploaded will be added to the app store. I'm not an apple fan by any means but I can see the method in their madness in not allowing every piece of crud onto the market.

You wouldn't accept such blatant lack of quality control for any other product in the world and we vigourosly enforce CE marks and Kitemarks, pay through the nose for organically and ethically sourced foods and yet on one of the most expensive and most used products we tend to buy, we will download and install any old rubbish?
