When i try to install BHD it says C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose 'Close' to terminate the application.

Then you have the choice of 'Close' or 'Ignore', but if you press ignore nothing happens!

Has anyone got any ideas if you have i would be very very very welcome

( i have talked about this before but can you try and keep it in simple language because i am blonde)

Here is an easier way.

Using your XP CD. Open a dos window.

Substitue D for whatever your CD drive is with XP cd in. You can also highlight one line at a time and copy and paste into dos window

expand D:\i386\config.nt_ C:\windows\system32\config.nt
expand D:\i386\autoexec.nt_ C:\windows\system32\autoexec.nt
expand D:\i386\command.co_ C:\windows\system32\command.com

Try that and see how you get on.

No probs........

follow this path on your pc - C:\WINDOWS\repair

Now copy the Autoexecnt file into your System32 folder

Sorted........
(had the same prob a few days ago)

By the way, it is believed by some to be caused by a trojan/virus of some kind removing the original file from the System32 folder.
You may want to do a full system scan for viruses and spyware (as I hope you do everyweek)
