It's Victoria, Thanks for all your messages, it means a lot
Still not out of the woods but came back from surgery alive at least, just praying and keeping everything crossed at mo!
He has been showing signs of some improvement today but still in intensive care and very very poorly.
He's on a breathing support machine and a lot of drugs to keep him ticking along but luckily they are being reduced little by little and he's fighting on, my little soldier.
Pleaaase pray for him!!!!

Firstly, i've not updated for a while cos Pauls condition hasn't changed much since the original post.

but here's some good news:
Paul's begining to come out of his induced coma today, and opened his eye's for the first time in 11 days, he managed to recognise my sis (Vic) and gave her a half smile (she had to ask him to smile).
when i saw him at 6ish he seemed more awake, but still drifts in and out of consciousness. some of the faces he pulls shows that he's in a lot of distress at times, and they hope to have him off the ventilators tomorrow.
His temperature has also come down, we were very worried about this yesterday as it was very high. he's not out of intensive care yet but it looks like things are on the up...

keep doin' what your doin', crossing your fingers, praying, what ever it is you do, cos it looks like it's workin'.

I'd also just like to say thanks for all the support you've shown Paul, and my little sis, it's really appreciated, and very touching. ATO TWIGS, Vic says thanks for the text you sent tonight. it was really nice.

Vic also says if any of you want to get in touch or visit, just leave a message on her house phone (i assume you guy's know the number) and she'll get back to you.

and if you see Jonesy or me (theabductee@hotmail) on msn or in the server, you can always get an update then.

Thanks again to everyone who's posted and have wished Paul well.

Just back from the hospital,

he's of the resporator altogether now, but still on oxygen - he can talk a little so he keeps asking the nuses if he can take the mask off, cos he doesn't like the taste.

we've made him smile a few times today too, and even the nurses are suprised by the difference in him from yesterday. and he should be back on a regular ward in a few days

I keep giving him all your messages, they cheer him up. he even laughed when i told him that Spam told me off for spawn sniping ( I was bored, and if the mountain wont come to mohamed and all that - but i'll be good from now) i'm sure he can't wait to get back in there with you guys

That'd be funny, but don't think he's allowed his laptop untill he's back on a ward, he's still in intensive for the time being.

Vic says he's getting really cheeky, he was askin her to take him home yesterday, when she said "you can't your still to poorly and you need all these machines", he said "Well you can't expect me to stay in here all bloody weekend"

I think it must be the drugs he's on, he doesn't realise how ill he has been, and that he still needs a lot of recovery - cos he's not in pain he thinks he's better, and I think it also effects his memory too, he's doen't remember me visiting him. It must be very frustrating for him.

Hi its Vic, Thanks every one for all of your support, hes a changed man at the moment and now understands how seriously ill he was. He keeps saying that hes lucky to be here and have all the support from everyone that hes had.
He stood up for the first time on Thurs and today he got into a chair for short time but making good progress. I think that this has been a real eye opener all round. It s amazing what goes through your head at times like these - lets hope we never do this again - any of us !!!
