yup, i went from 1gig, to 2 just for bf2, but i installed it with 1gig, played the game, installed the other gig, played the game.... world of difference, BF2 loves RAM, the more the better.

how much did your new RAM cost ELV?
Fear - If I were to purchase more memory, does it have to be the same make as that already in the machine? I know it has to be the same standard, I think... :1 (73):

it does not have to be same make, but it's better if it's the same (or better) spec...
cheapest aint always the best...

I recently went from 512Mb to 1Gb and it was possible to run on the highest settings but it was def'o faster on medium. However, reading this I think I'll get an extra gig next month.
