The time has come soldiers. The 1.03 Update for Battlefield 2 is now available for download.

Alongside the fixes noted in last Friday's Community Update, you can find out all of the fixes and tweaks included in this update in the changelog found.

IMPORTANT NOTE: There is a known issue with mod autoactivation in 1.03 dealing with Passworded servers. If you are attempting to join a passworded server of any kind, be sure to manually activate the Mod in question before trying to join (this also applies to connecting to passworded retail BF2 servers if you currently have a different Mod activated).

Now get out there and fight, soldiers!

Wait a F***in moment. They eagerly anounce the release of an big update but on the same message they say "oh buy the way we know there is a problem with it!!!" They are treading on Nova ground with that one!!

i get it, installd it, and playd it

you can only add 5 lettres BEFORE youre name :1 (66):
not after, so instead of : Yodanski.NoS, i am playing now as: NoS.yodanski

not the change i wanted :1 (73):

but when i was playing , and kill 1 red, i did get promoted to sergeant :1 (97):

and after a few kills more i become staff sergeant :1 (100):

i must say , that was a suprise , i thought i would become corporal first .

now i have to wait untill i reach 10.500 points to unlock a new weapon .

yup, quite noticeable...

...still some bugs/issues to fix but then again, ain't there always. :-/

Yeah, as soon as you kill someone, you'll get a rank promotion. Possibly two. Check out http://ubar.bf2s.com/ranks.php for the new ranks/scores.

There's also a new map, which apparently sucks if you're wearing heavy armour - long way between flags and not much room for vehicles.

Not much else really noticeable. :(

the patch is good so far lots of small changes there as well as the few big 1s.Hehehehe i got 3 promotions and 3 unlocks lol but its all good

and i did get 3 ribbons also, dont know what is was for, but it good on my stats :1 (75):
