A couple for questions i wanna ask about bf2 ?

Ok ive been looking in the manual and cant find binoculars, is there any?

No zoom on ther sniper rifle, is there?

How do i get the medals/badges some of you have in your sig? do i get the medals/badges for singleplayer and/or multiplayer or do they both add togeather on the sig?

Ive noticed online some people have there rank icon above there head e.g corpral, sergeant, does that automatically come as i play better?

How do i get the bf2 badges sig?

Any tips/hint that can help me get afew badges?

Anybody got any tips/hints in flying coz im finding it really hard to control the air craft.

If anybody has anything that they found difficult when they first started playing tell us how you figured a way round it could help me or somebody eles out, or any other useful info they could share...... :1 (117):

I know what you are going through - I felt exactly the same when I first started bf2. You'll get better with practice and more badges will come with time.

Most of the combat ones simply come with numbers of kills. One of the best ways of doing this is to be the commander. Only trouble is that when the round starts, there's a short time for people to apply and the person with highest rank that applies during this time will get it. After that, it's free for all. If you do make commander, artillery kills count towards whatever your class is, so you'll get the class combat badges more easily than in actual combat.

Make bf2s forums your friend. There's a wealth of great information on there, far too much to go into in one note.

also, dont run and gun, stand still and shoot, preferably short bursts from one knee (crouch), prone is even better.

sniping? if you can hold the crosshairs over your targets head still for two seconds, you'll get one shot kills every time...

Awarded to recognize the individual who performed their duty while engaged in active air-defense combat
IAR: 3 minutes in Air Defense (SAM, AA Vehicle)

So does this mean in one map cycle? or can this be spread out over afew map cycles or afew days? e.g 2mins one map 1min the next, or 2minz one day 1min the next? or does it have to be all on the same map cycle?

So for awards where it says two or more things IAR, they have to be in the same round. No good doing 11 kills in one round and 3 mins in the next (though it'd be tough getting 11 kills in less than 3 mins, I think).

However, where there's a global requirement, e.g. Distinguished Service Ribbon (IAR 15 team points, global 10[hours] total time commander, squad leader, squad member) you need to accumulate 10 hours as a squad member, 10 as a squad leader and 10 as commander BEFORE the round where you get 15 team points.

Ok im nearly done with the questions now......... i think lol, BUT just one more thing thats been on my mind, how do i unlock the weapons? what do i have to do? and when they are unlocked how do i select them to use them in the game?

I could look this info up but i cant be arsed lol, why spend time looking it up when i have good people like YOU to tell me.

For every promotion in rank except the first, you get to unlock a weapon. I can't remember the scores you need but last week when I hit 5000 points (Staff Sergeant) I got my third unlock. You don't have to take it immediately - each time you log in to BFHQ, the option to choose is given.

When you spawn and get the choice of classes, there's a symbol in the top right of each class that allows you to choose between the standard weapon for your army or the unlock weapon.

These weapon unlocks......... i know i get a new unlock each time i get a new rank BUT how does it decide witch weapon to unlock? is it random? or does it depend on what profession i am at the time i get my new rank? e.g say im playing as the medic and get my Lance Corporal rank would that unlock the L85A1? or would it just unlock a weapon at ramdom?

This is my opinion on how good the weapons are, compared to how good the normal weapons are for each class. However, you have to factor in how much you play each class.

ok, maybe its the win:loss ratio you need...

i hate to say this, but i've heard that if you quit a game before your side looses then you can get a better ratio...

...not that any TIN would ever do such a thing, fight to the last man and all that.

i'm serious btw. i'm just saying that you can't believe the scores of any of the top 1000 playing this game, i firmly believe they have all played 'outside of the spirit of the game' just to achieve a ranking or a ribbon/medal.

Ok about these badges/ribbons, ive been thinking..... i have the IAR: 5 minutes in Ground Defense (Mounted MG or TOW) badge, BUT for the ground defence ribbon it says.... IAR: 3 minutes in TOW/Mounted Machine Gun..... shouldent i have got the ribbon first? if i did 5 minz, do i have to spend another 3 minz in a mounted machine gun now to get the ribbon?

And for the IAR: 10 minutes in a Transport badge can this be a buggie/ jeep or does it have to be one of those big 5 seater thingys?

7 kills in a game is not easy in BF2

Ground defense ribbon = 5 kills & 3 minutes in ground defense weapon in 1 round.

Ground defense badge = 5 minutes in ground defense weapon - can just sit, no kills needed

Transport badge = 10 minutes in transport (RIB, buggy, FAV, HMMVV)

SCW = Sky Cow Warrior - Spec Ops who fills a Chinese transport chopper with c4, then kamikazes into enemy armour.
