From what I've read on other boards, you should be able to run it on the lowest of the low settings. You'll definitely get a few stutters when loading a new map - this is not such a problem if you play servers that have several rounds on a particular map - but it will probably work okay.

From what I've read, people are recommending upwards of 1.5 gig ram. I've only got 1024Mb and I get the stutters at times :(

Reducing the time to load each map is a big help. The people with the fastest machines and lowest pings will almost definitely take the best vehicles (jets, attack helis, tanks) and us slowbies are left to pray the enemy hasn't got halfway across the map already. Next month my computer budget is going an extra 512 or 1024mb ram (plus headset with mic this time!)

i hope to see you in BF2 m8, i loved to shoot ya in BHD, it will be an honor to do it in BF2 again ;)

maybe you could try to put 1 gig memory more in youre pc, and see what it will do, i have a FX 5600 with 128 mb, but i will get me a new card soon, and maybe also 1 gig memory more, so i have 2 gig, but i allways play with low or medium settings.

It would be an unusual PC that didn't have at least 2 memory slots. Have you looked inside the case before? Look to check - it's possible you have 2 x 256MB and only 2 slots available, but I'd say that's unlikey in a P4 2.8 machine.

More likely you have 1 x 512MB and at least one empty slot, in which case you should be able to add an extra 1gig to what you have np.

maybe you have 4slots, be you have to open youre case to see it, if so, you just put in new memory sticks.

but try to find out with type you have, or ask it where you get youre pc, just to be sure.
