Hey Tins, all of a sudden, this evening since about 18:00, I can't join your server. As soon as the map's loaded I get dumped back to the Nova lobby. Been happening all evening now, and I'm getting desperate for a game. Needless to say, I've tried joining on different maps, still get punted, and different servers work fine. Nothing has changed my end. Help me, Obi Tin Kenobe, you're my only hope.

Don't mind me asking, but it's one of those things you gotta get out of the way before looking for something more complicated ...

... any chance you picked up a ban the last time you were in the server? Language whoopsie or anything like that? Or anyone else on the same IP even?

No, mate, not at all that I'm aware of, signed off the server last night as normal, then this evening...........f***o.

Although my son was playing on-line, it wasn't BHD, and I've also tried it with a quiet connection. Just tried it again, and the same thing, punted staright back to the lobby, no message.

It's been happening to a few people now and again, i'll have another look at the Server in the morning, if it continues after tomorrow le me know please. :)

Maybe it's the ping blocker J? Have you set that to punt at 2000 again?
Maybe FISH=A$$= was in there and was soaking up all the bandwidth? :1 (88):

Right, going through the logs there seem to be a small number of people getting this over the last month or so, Think it was sly as well, Wierd as i can see no reason for it to happen on the server side.
However to rule out a few things Ive totally un-installed & re-installed the Server.
I'll check the server logs again tonite when people are in playing, to see if it happens again. :)

Just checked in again a few minutes ago, (10:45am), quiet connection, 0 players..........and punted again. <sob>

This is worse than hustling around looking for a bit of gear on a Friday night.......at least you know you're going to find the right person in the right pub sooner or later.

But am I ever going to get on the Tins server again?

Basically browsing thru the firewall list of attacks/traffic one day, there was an abnormal amount of attacks from a similar ip range as yours, I had taken this and put a wild card into the server perm ip list ban quickley as i had to rush out, this was weeks ago lol I forgot to follow it up :1 (78): I still blame the Firewall and after a ruddy good thrashing & telling off I think me & it has come to an understanding :1 (83):

Configuring a firewall is like.........making love to a beautiful woman. You never really understand which port is accepting input that day.......

As it happens, Friday afternoon I had a couple of disconnections and when I came back on-line, I noticed I was in an IP range that I hadn't been in for a while, if ever, before. I keep a close eye on that type of thing, because I don't have much of a life.
