So I install everything, having read about and fearing, nay, dreading the Autopunt problem............and it's fine.....no autopunt.......just dreadful graphics corruption. I'm runnning a Geforce 6200 AGP, reinstalled Nvidia drivers, no joy. Gone back about three or four releases, all d/l'ed from the nvidia website, none of them work properly. reinstalled DirectX, still get corruptions.
Any offers, anyone?

Oh, b****y har har............that's what I love about this forum.......everyone's a comedian.
BTW, it's fine in single player, only multiplayer. Surely to god there's not a conflict between the graphics and the network, not in this day and age, at my time of life.

I'm sure you'll all be delighted and relieved to learn that I have solved my graphics corruption problems.
Having gathered all the data, tested all the systems, re-installed everything except XP itself, I finally sat down, pondered the univers and all therein, dropped the resolution from 1024x768 to 800x600 and the graphics magically became uncorrupted.
Sooo..................let's rock and roll.
Case closed.

Don't forget that you can always try Omega drivers, for both NVidia and ATI cards from the Omega Drivers website.
Bilbo.

Nahh, it's still not fixed, so 50p is looking good as it happens.
What happens is the sky disappears and I get left with sort of shadows of the buildings on the sky-line repeating everywhere. The only way to get rid of them is to stand still in the game.
Yeah, sure.
I'll try deleting the player profile, I need to remap my k/b and mouse anyway.
Any more helpful suggestions like 'getting rid of 56k and getting BB' I shall treat with the same disdain as the last one.
Otherwise, out with the 6200 and back to my trusty old, rusty old 5700
It's not ATI, it's nVidia.

i've seen this before...
think it's driver related... Try going back to an older driver version. (i'm running 56.72 which does the job perfectly)
http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_2k_56.72.html
or try the omega drivers as bilbo suggested ;)
hope this helps
