Why do I have to log into the forums every time even though I tick the remember me box?

Only happened since I did the password change

I had to until I disabled all password remembering and re enabled it. then tick the box and allow your browser to remember your password......worked for me!

deffo a cookie or browser setting at ur end fatty, Works fine for me on 3 diffrent pc's,

Give us a nudge if u dont have it fixed will run thru a few things with you,

Tried all those settings, this is happening on 2 different PC's now. One running IE7 and the other running IE6.

They've always done that to me. I thought it was because the forums are set to clear cookies when you leave but if some people can stay logged in it's obviously a PC setting. Happens to me on 2 other vBulletin forums I use too.

At first glance if your using FireFox ur lily to have problems!

try this..
Check this setting in Firefox.

Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies > Keep Until

I suspect you have 'I close Firefox', with that setting you need to enter your forum in the exceptions.

Also if your using IE it could be because of this!

That usually means you have your browser set to clear cache and cookies upon closing your browser. Check those options to make sure.

Another Fix to try~
If you're having this problem....clear out ALL your cookies, then close the browser, reboot the PC, and then log in again.

In most cases that fixes it. remeber to click REMEMBER ME!



This is deffo a user issue. Browsing the VB forums there are many people that have had this problem and they have ALL been user issue not forum issue,

try the above fixes if none work please let me know wheather u use IE or Firefox and what versions, Also what virus and firewall u use, As some issues of this kind are related to firewalls and antivirus not allowing cookies! ( mainly Norton but im sure none of u chaps are retarded enuff to have that on your system! )
