I know this is a rare occasion but I need some advice over something technical that is doing my head in.

I have video footage that I have taken, work wise LEAD sorry, which on my main computer runs without a problem in windows player. I then record this, or attempt to onto a dvd. Most of the times it tells me that the files are corrupt and that they cannot be copied, and yet they still play.

I have tried to copy these via a separate hard drive and then use them on my laptop and again they refuse to play on my laptop windows player.

Can any one offer any advice on this subject, what is it that I am doing so wrong that these stupid things wont play?

I will be available for the day on TS if someone can help me out.

dude right click on your thing you need to play click on properties check the size of the file some times you only get a 4kb program if its not been riped properly or is security protected this usualy happens when you move the origal copy from its source to the external hard drive
I know i lost my music files which play through the windows media player:1 (67):

When I get dodgy porn on DVD that wont play on a DVD right click on the drive click open that should give you various programs forget the folder that says audio its usually empty forget info files usually around 50kb click around you may have trouble fast forwarding pausing etc till the right file is found although the files will play once this file is found right click copy and paste to your desk top and try again burning to a new disk.

Thanks again to those who helped, and LEAD I must say I admire the way that you link any subject to your favorite topic.:1 (97):
