Really need your help (N.I.L.E)

Please help me before I pull whats left of my hair out.

I am trying to do my first map. I have downloaded Nile and as soon as I loaded it I ran an update and it downloaded the latest V.0.71.

As soon as I go into map I load the terrain and then load the type of mission TKOTH.

This is where my problems start. As soon as i try to put an object on the map I get the String Table resource editor appear. And not matter what I do it won't go away. I have to Ctrl-Alt-Del to get out.

HELP!!! What am I doing wrong!!!!!!!

Cheers Jar mate. Great tutorial but still having the same prob's even though everybody says they don't have this problem. I don't have a clue dude!!!

If I ever get it wokring at least I have a few good tutorials

What O/S are you running Mike?

I'm running XP Pro without SP2 mate. Is that any help?

XP pro is ok
Do you know where you installed nile? in the novalogic folder? JO folder?
Where did you download the NILE from?

It's ok J mate. Spam and I found out the problem. There was a post on NovaWorld.

You need to press F9 then click OK and it disapears.

Honest it was going to get another day and the whole pc was in the BIN!!!
