Server rule ?

I was asked today to remove my clan tag from my name to continue playing on yourcod4 server.

I was told it was offensive...

the clan tag is -=SMEG=-

This clan played in many COD2 & COD4 leagues, and has never been told that their name is offensive before.

In fact, i've played on your server without anyone ever mentioning this.

I would like someone to comment before i end up getting banned because one admin isn't happy with it.

Not that anyone else on your server (or any other) has ever complained, But you decided that it was offensive and even posted a link to justify it.

If being a member of the [SMEG] clan gets me banned from one server, so be it. No other server admin/ league admin has ever complained. (and never will).

It's still a question of if its offensive and rude, and i don't think it is.

Question is: Why are you the ONLY one in your clan that has ever thought this word offensive ???? (after the months of playing there?)

I'm sure to be banned from your server for this, and probably the forum too. I'll have to let the other people in the clan too avoid your server if this is the case (I wouldn't want them banned too).

I played a lot on your server and thought that some of your guys were quite adult, unfortually i visited your server today when the wrong admin has playing.

Me? "The Admin in question"? LMAO ...Ill think you will find i havent played COD 4 for about 3 - 4 weeks ...

I havent even got rcon installed so i dont have the rights to kick\ban ANYBODY.

I posted a link so you could understand why one of our admins could have found that offensive, To be honet utill i found that link i didnt even know what "smeg" ment, I thought it was just a word made on red dwarf!

And just for the record i wouldent presonnaly ban somebody for using the name "smeg" in there name, To me personally its not an offensive word at all.

I'm sorry for getting the wrong person, but you answered my post so fast and with a reference i thought i had the right guy.

But no-one has ever, ever, classed the clan tag as offensive before.

Can we clarify this once and for all:

Is the clan tag [SMEG] a kick/ban offensive if used on your server ?
