PAINT posted about this a while back. Never heard of it until then but yep, it's very good. Very fast to find stuff, easy to use and sort albums/artists etc. Quality is good too.

There's a program that will allow you to record from it to your PC too. That's probably illegal though so I don't have it.

I've found stuff on it I didn't expect. Went looking for Rory Gallagher (prob not many of you remember him) not expecting to find much, if anything. Got loads of stuff - every album as far as I can see.

On that, one of my favourites of his was Tattoo'd Lady, which is on several of the albums including one of his Irish Tour in 1974 - great album. so decided to see if there was any YouTube stuff. Found this (I was there :1 (67):)

YouTube - Rory Gallagher Tatoo'd Lady 74' Irish Tour

Of the 10 minutes on this, the first 5 is back stage warming up etc, so if you haven't the patience you could skip that. If you don't even want to take 5 minutes of the actual track, at least jump to the last 2 minutes.

Remember this was 35 years ago - not much electronic help available then, so this is all raw talent. The sound quality on the clean version on the album (e.g. on Spotify) is much better obviously.

ahhh, nostalgia. Brings it all back like it was yesterday. Great night.

How do you get the You Tube to be in the thread like a TV screen? Does it show like that on any forum, and what part of YT do you need the coding for?

Bilbo.

Just copy and paste the YouTube URL into the post. It'll still look like the URL in Preview, but when you Submit it automatcally embeds it.

DON'T copy and paste the embed code from YoouTube. Just the URL from the address bar at the top of the screen.

Won't necessarily do that on any forum - it's a code hack I installed here. Some forums will have it, some won't.

Glad some of you like him. Legend he was. Also one of the very very few who would come to Belfast in the 70's, at the height of the troubles. Couldn't get big names to come back then, but he was here regularly.
