Too many aliases kick

This is not a problem that has affected me personally but several FiFo members have had issues and even when they are no longer changing names they are still unable to come on. PigDog is still having issues and now FiFo.jpod cannot play because me and Kingkarl went over to his house at the weekend and went on using our own seperate profiles - i need my own profile cos arrowkeys > wasd :)

I know some of our members have had run ins with the admins on a few small occasions but we behave ourselves now and we bring a decent level of play and quite a few members to your server. We would quite like to continue having good games on your server.

Tbh i havent played cod4 in ages and i played in here a few nights ago as FiFo.RonnieKraY and had no problems for a few days and then all of a sudden i get the alias kick. i did attempt to log on as pigdog and i got the message of death "to many aliases" so i went back to FiFo.RonnieKraY and boom same message. jpod plays here a fair bit too so if you could please have a look and see if there is anything you can do

Yea, the problem we have is that we cannot remove aliases. If it was a problem with a setting or whatever then the individuals involved could alter that, but this error isn't something that can be fixed on our end I think..

oh dear here we go. ilh made it very clear that 3 people were at the same pc on a drunk night, because they used different set ups (ilh is odd and uses arrowkeys) so they used their own profiles, hardly a crime.

as i did say i havent played for months so every 5mins is an amazing comment considering i played under the same name for 2 nights before i got kicked.

so not that simple after all

Should this be resolved and you are able to get back into the server, you play under one name with your squad/clan tags on.

In future if you go over a friends or you let people play on your computer don't change your player name.

This should apply to all of your squad too.

Makes life easier.

if your a clan/squad why do you feel the need to keep changing your names and not playing with clan/squad tags on..why when a few of you join our server do some of you wear clan tags and not others and why the hell would would 1 of your members think its ok to come in our server with the name bradolf pitler,,any 1 with half a brain will know what ur getting at and any german players may find that very offensive,,i cent even belive as a squad you would even let a member do that and we will definately not condone that sort of behavior in our server,,ever since you have been playing in our server you have been causing trrouble so i suggest you go find another server to play in

Why would I create my own profile for keys and then play as FiFo.jpod rather than my own name of FiFo.ilh - playing as FiFo.jpod is playing under a false name for me as much as calling myself superman or something else. I don't think we did anything too unusual in picking our own game names for when we play.

I don't understand how Tracy Frm Chippy, having used that name for over 3 months without changing it is an issue. If he breaks the rules then you ban him because he broke the rules but whether he is a member of FiFo or not should not be issue as that has no bearing on whether he is breaking any rules.

Bradolf Pittler is a reference to the film Bruno and is taking the mick out of Brad Pitt. I would like to think that someone called Adolf Hitler would offend many other people as much or more than Germans...

You seem to take issue with 1 or maybe 2 people and then take it out on other people because they are in the same clan and it doesn't make sense. You kicked Tracy rather than ask him to change his name and then it turns into a much bigger isssue on the server than it needs to be.

tbh as i said i havent been on for months so i have not created a new alias in months thats why i was suprised pb let me play your servers for 2 days and then gave me the judo chop.

We will let the guys and girls from FiFo know that tags must be worn in your servers.

I think we make this simple.

We have seen 82 names playing under the GUIDs of your squad.

Those are spread amongst 16 members

That means on average (not each please read -on average)
5 playing names each.

Now we dont kick on aliases, punkbuster do- therefore you are kicked by punkbuster (who are there to help all squads) not by A Tin Of

So im going to make this real easy for you.

1. We pay for our server- if yours is to busy to get in,kick someone.
2.your members have only posted here to moan,never to say great server or thanks or lets us help with the monetary upkeep please.
3.If you play in a squad/clan/group of mates or whatever and feel the need to put a name/clan tag in front of that then at least have the decency to play with that tag,abide by the set rules of that clan/squad or whatever rules you set,and get respect from the gaming community.If not dont bother
4.Dont change your name-it looks like you either have no pride in yourself,no pride in the squad/clan/bunch you play with/for.
5.dont change your name as it f***s with your alias's on
PB,either win or lose as yourself.

If you cant do any of the above,or find any of the above difficult to comprehend please PM me I will be happy to help.

If you are happy with all of the above, have read our rules and still are in any doubt about what to do I am happy to tell you.
Please dont waste our admins time either in here or in game with your petty whining.

I have the easy answer,we dont need to listen or reply to you ( we always have in a responsible and adult manner) and in future we wont.

So in summary-
abide by the Tin rules-play under your own name and dont bitch/whine or cheat in the server
If not I will personally make sure all your GUIDs and forum names are banned from here and the server.

Someone jumped are you joking? Elv just put a post about about whining and you post that sherriff? did you even bother reading what this thread was about?

We understand when a tin of put us a straight considering its their forum/server but you.... unless you got pomoted from sherriff to god it aint gonna happen. considering not one of their members has mentioned "jumping" i dont understand why you would, unless of course you are just pouring petrol on the fire or going for brownie points.

I did try and delete my post after i'd made it, reading it back it did seem a bit petty, unfortunately i wasn't able to.

I'll take your point that it's not "On Topic" but I think it might be attitude related. I've no reason to add fuel to any fire and i'm not after brownie points. I get on alright with most of you guys in game and the Tins hopefully have an idea of my feelings towards the game and their server.

I could just wait until ilh breaks the server rules again, is abusive when asked to stop doing it and then denies he's done anything wrong even when verified by a number of other players at the time and then post about it, but it seems pointless.

So if one of the Tins would like to remove my posts then that'd be fine, as you say and I readily acknowledge, i'm not an admin here, I just enjoying playing on the server with everyone else.

You are obviously having some kind of difficulty in understanding whats being stated. Your use of different names are what has you banned, not by us but by PB. Talk to them not us.

Various people keep coming back to the name changing thing but there has been no further name changes - the kicks are from previous things and we cannot remove an alias. As much as pb does the kick, the too many aliases setting is optional and put there by your server admins. I am not saying it shouldn't be - but I am saying that clearing any current offences is something in your hands. We have already said previously that we will stop the name changing but it nothing to do with embarassment or lack of pride but it keeps being brought up again and again. We would very much appreciate you allowing those 3-4 players who are banned due to aliases back on the server and we will all play with our tags.

I know I use the noob tube and it annoys you sherrif but leave me be. I asked you to leave me alone previously but you can't seem to. The admins are capable of dealing with me if they think I am cheating by BHing (I don't).

compo pb kicked us because of YOUR settings, the reason i know this simple, i can play on every other pb server. Snipe has already said if he clears our aliases list we must stick to one name as did elv and im sure they arent going to call pb for us? I have no clue why you or anyone else thinks that a tin of kicked us considering we never said they did, i thought it was obvious we were trying get the alias list cleared and it seems only snipe understood this.

i can only assume you are talking to sherriff considering i cant get on your server let alone tell people what and never have done, if you refering to my comments to sherriff i was pointing out he wasnt helping and he agreed.
