What's the difference in the upgrade and full edition

Any special requirements for the upgrade edition

For Ultimate 64 bit it looks to like the Upgrade is £20 MORE than the full version. I assume because the full version is OEM.

Dunno about requirements though.

Last week I did my MS TechNet course on Windows 7 and Exchange 10 :)

Windows 7 is awesome. I have got full release version of Windows 7 Ultimate. I got given it at the course with a life time update :)

It is really good. Specs wise as well you can use it on older machines. I have done testing with Windows 7 Ultimate on a centrino 1.1 with 512meg ram and it runs comfortably.

A few things took a while to get use to but it is very good. I Will upgrade my games machine to it soon.

The Upgrade - you can only install it on one PC

I wouldnt upgrade your games machine to it Slomo as when i had the RC client on my system i couldnt run half my games.

BF2 was a big no no and various others just were not supported fully or would even functioned with Windows 7, various blue screens of death were frequent issues, TS and Vent did not work when in games even when set to admin mode, it had tonnes of issues.

They may well have fixed them but so far in my years of using windows i have never seen one that was any good for the first 6 months to a year until they had patched the shit out of it.

Personally i think its a bloody rip off as all it is is service pack 2 for Vista and so it should be a FREE upgrade to Vista. Plus allot of the features of XP and Vista have been removed from Windows 7 so it looks very bare and limited.

I will wait until the price is more sensible and its working as advertised before i buy it.
