Basic Forum and Teamspeak rules: Common sense summarised.
  1. Basic posting rules: These forums are meant for people or animal species of any age, sex, or religion. They are meant to be informative and fun, so please do NOT use bad language or anything else that may offend anyone else. NOTE that using special characters to 'disguise' swear words is not acceptable. Just think of a diffferent word. Same goes for any images you post, or any sites you link to - have a look round any linked sites before you post to make sure there's nothing 'dodgy' on those either. Any post containing stuff we feel isn't suitable will be edited or deleted. Repeat offenders will also be deleted.
  2. Topics best avoided: We would like to ask Forum and Teamspeak users to NOT get into serious 'real world' debates here, e.g. posts relating to politics or religion. While we appreciate that these are generally well intentioned, and can relate to important issues, we find they can also create some tension. We want to keep these forums, Teamspeak and our server as fun places to be - somewhere to escape from real world tensions and just relax.
  3. Legal stuff: Or rather ILLEGAL stuff ... you will be booted if you post anything:

    - that is threatening, obscene, indecent, pornographic, liable to incite racial or religious hatred or sectarianism, menacing, libellous, or in breach of privacy; or

    - which constitutes or encourages conduct that would be considered a criminal offence, give rise to civil liability, or otherwise be contrary to UK law; or

    - which is technically harmful (including, without limitation, computer viruses, logic bombs, Trojan horses, worms, harmful components, corrupted data or other malicious software or harmful data).

    - that refers or links to other websites containing material noted above.

    - It’s impractical to define precisely some of the terms in paragraphs 1 and 2 above. However, the spirit of the rules should be obvious from this document. If you aren’t sure something is acceptable, you’re probably right, so don’t post it. In broad terms, anything of a nature that may typically be read in national newspapers will be acceptable.
  4. Use of images, Avatars, and Signatures: Please read this BEFORE posting images in the Forums. Also check your Avatar and sig against these limits and fix them if necessary. If any of these are too big or hosted in the wrong place they can distort the Forums or make them run very slow. This fouls things up for all forum users.

Image sizes: max width of posted images is 560 pixels. Length is not so important.

    Sigs & Avatars:
Sigs: 1 image per user, max width 560 pixels, max height 150 pixels. Max file size: 100KB. Up to two lines of text, no unauthorised advertising, normal forum language rules apply.

Avatars: max width 120 pixels, max height 150 pixels. Max file size: 75KB Hosting:

It's dead easy to resize images using Irfanview - a free program, quick and easy to download and use. Open up your Avatar or image in this, go to 'Images' and Resize ... takes a few seconds. Upload the new image from your User CP or post as normal. IrfanView is a very fast, small, compact and FREE graphic viewer for Windows 9x/ME/NT/2000/XP/2003. Download it at http://www.irfanview.com/ If you do use images or Avatars that are too big we'll have to delete them because they will distort the forums.
  5. All posts must be written in English.
  6. Don't spam/abuse any other member via e-mail or Private Messages
  7. If in doubt about the suitability of something - use the Contact Us form to ask before posting.
  8. Have phun!
